At 5.30 am sharp, 31 campus students and 3 serving ones departed to the Kuching International Airport in order to catch a flight to Changi Airport, Singapore. Upon arrival at Changi Airport, we were greeted by young working saints and a full timer from the Church in Singapore who accompanied us on the way to Red Hill meeting hall where we would be accommodated for the next few days. After being shown into our rooms, we went down to the dining hall for lunch and blended with the campus students in Singapore over our meal.

In the afternoon, we had indoor activities which consisted of ice breaking games that helped us to get to know each other better from different localities. Through these activities, the campus students had the chance to blend with the saints and find companions from different localities. After this, there was an overflow and exhibition meeting whereby the campus students from Kota Samarahan exhibited 2 hymns and gave testimonies based on their enjoyment of the church life in Kota Samarahan. As a result, the overflow meeting was full of the out flow of the riches of Christ.

After dinner, there was a topical fellowship regarding the importance of reading the Life-Studies and being inoculated with the Word of God. Ephesians 1:17 says, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him.” The best time to be constituted with the truth is during our campus years as that is when our mind is still very fresh. Hence, we need to grasp the opportunity to read the Bible, Life-Studies as well as the ministry books. I was also further enlightened that it is important to be equipped with the Word of God which is the truth so that I can discern what is genuine and what is false.

The topical fellowship was followed by sharings from the trainees from FTTA. Through their sharings, I was being encouraged by how the Lord manifested to them in different ways in the training, and this manifestation became a treasure to them. This further on gave me a stronger and more earnest desire to join the full time training and I renewed my consecration to the Lord.

In conclusion, the first day of this blending trip was filled with the enjoyment and riches of Christ, whether through fellowship with the saints or in the meetings. The campus students enjoyed themselves not only outwardly but also spiritually. Through fellowship and blending with the saints, we can have the reality of the building up of the Body of Christ.
